Katrina Relief Benefit! Thursday 9/8, 7-11pm, 66 Balmy, SF
I just got off the phone with Jim Serchak, who runs the 66Balmy gallery. This coming Thursday, we're gonna fill his place with donated artwork and try and raise some $ for the Red Cross.

Thursday, Sept. 8th, 7-11pm
100% of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross.
Cash, checks and credit cards accepted, no sales tax.
Anyone who wants to donate a bottle of wine or beer or hard stuff can contribute to the bar, which'll also have a donation jar if you're not in an art-buyin' mood.

Get your pictures to me or bring them to 66Balmy on Thursday from 3-7 PM. Make sure you have your name and a phone number on the back in case your picture doesn't sell, along with a price. Affordable pricing is encouraged; we want everything to go off the walls and into the Red Cross' coffers. If you told Jim you're in, tell me so I can put you in the publicity.

Yeah, yeah, "awesome." Gimme 20 bucks.
Maybe I should have said "good idea, hope it goes well." Don't mean to come off as a hypocritical idiot by saying that something is so cool while not having participated myself - which isn't the case.
Everyone with a freakin' conscience should help in this effort. And bonus to those in the SF area this week who will have the opportunity to go to this show and give in this way.
No, I know you mean well and probably already kicked in elsewhere.
